i messed up my chicken soup i should have waited before adding the noodles.instead of soup its slop :blushing: I'm not a cook what so ever..lol

4 cups of Swanson chicken broth
    dash of black pepper
1 medium carrot(i used a small bag of baby carrots)
    1 medium celery sliced (i used 2)
1/2 cup uncooked noodles( i did 8oz which was 1/2 the bag)
1 cup of shredded cooked chicken or turkey(i did 1.89lbs of chicken)
    their cooking direction:
    1. heat broth, black pepper, carrot and celery in 2qt. saucepan over medium-high heat to a boil.
2.stir in noodles and chicken in saucepan.reduce heat to medium cook 10 min.or until noodles are tender, stirring occasionally.

what i did was threw everything into the crock pot for 4-5 hours on low.my mistake was i should have waited 2 more hours to add the noodles. it looks gross but taste good almost taste like chicken and dumplings.

I followed this recipe but instead of water I did 1 cup Amber Ale beer and 1 cup beef broth so mine will have a higher sodium level. Oh and I doubled the recipe cause I was feeding lots of people:smile: You can also make this on the stove on low heat... mine only took about an hour and a half.

    •1 onion, diced
    •2 cloves garlic, minced
•1 red or yellow bell pepper, chopped
•2 carrots, grated or sliced thin
    •1 1/2 cup corn
    •1 zucchini, diced
    •2 cans kidney beans
•2 15 ounce cans diced tomatoes
    •1/2 cup water
    •1 1/2 tbsp chili powder
    •1 tsp cumin
    •1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
    •dash cayenne pepper
    •dash tabasco sauce (optional)

    Preparation:

Combine all ingredients in a crock pot or slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
    Makes 5 servings.

This is my colorful lunch that I have eaten every day this week. I have a tendency to eat the same foods for my breakfasts and lunchs. This is a Southwest salad pre-bagged by WalMart. I had a clementine, kiwi, and mozzarella stick with the salad.
