Hi! I have been using MFP for a few months, just tracking calories and exercise mostly. I finally decided to really get serious about losing weight. I am EBF'ing my 8 month old son, he's my 4th (and last) I gained 61lbs while pregnant and I also managed to gain back the 25lbs I lost after childbirth thanks to careless eating and zero exercise. I have always had a hard time losing weight while breastfeeding and this time I want to get a handle on it before I gain any more and go over 200 lbs, which is the heaviest I have ever been (without being pregnant). I am also having stomach issues (going to see a specialist) so I decided 3 weeks ago that I need to really make a change in the foods I'm eating too! So, slowly, I have been cutting out certain foods and trying to eat more "paleo" which is very hard! And I'm also trying to keep a close eye on my milk supply. I've lost 5lbs so far in the past 2 weeks, so that's a start! Also exercising a lot more and going for lots of walks now that the weather is nice. So anyway, hoping to meet some other moms who are having a hard time like me so we can help keep each other on track!

Hi. I have 6 kids. I joined MFP almost a year ago when I couldn't lose the weight I gained with the youngest.
I love the friends I've met here.
BTW.... What exactly is Paleo?0 -
I am also new to the group and just signed up MFP today. Hopefully, I can meet some great people and reach our fitness goal together!0

Paleo is a natural diet consisting of any foods that you would find in the caveman days. Meat from grass-fed animals, fish, fruits, veggies, nuts, eggs. Foods like grains, dairy, processed food, refined sugars and oils are not to be eaten.
Some people go "full paleo" and are quite rigid with the diet. I am breastfeeding so I need to be careful of doing that, because it can be very restrictive. But I think eating more clean foods definitley can't hurt!0
