I have carb-loving days, too. Sometimes all I want to eat is buttered toast.

Filling up on protein earlier in the day helps keep my carb cravings at bay. The whole "drink a glass of water" thing never works for me, either

I have craving for snacks. It does not have to be carbs. Someone suggested to me that eating protein would curb the craving for carbs. I am thinking of eating more proteins during the day.

I was the same until I cut most carbs at night. If I get hungry I eat as much almonds as I want and that helps because you can't really stuff yourself with that much nuts (well I can't LOL)

I've always been a huge carb fanatic...and every time I would beat myself up and try to cut out carbs, I would end up an unhappy mess and give up within a few days. So, instead of beating myself up for loving carbs, I just started finding better ways to satisfy my cravings...whole grain sandwich slims instead of thick slices of bread and hoagie rolls....half a serving of some sort of really delicious cereal mixed with a serving of Fiber One...a little bit of quinoa mixed in with vegetables...low carb tortillas to make wraps and fajitas...stuff like that. Pre-pregnancy, I went from 175 pounds down to 135 pounds, and I really think that a lot of that success came from finding similar alternatives to things I loved rather than completely changing what I ate. Now, I guess I just need to get back to that mindset...haha. For now, I'm definitely indulging in the big deli bagels and huge bowl of cereal and whatnot!
