Any Lesbians w/PCOS?

My wife and I are trying to conceive our first child but I have PCOS and am not currently ovulating. I know if I lose 20% of my body fat it should help kick start the process. Hoping to also go back on Metformin soon. Would love to follow more lesbians with PCOS, or just trying to conceive in general. ADD ME!

I found out I had PCOS when I also was TTC way back in 1997! I ultimately had to use injectible fertility meds to get pregnant as losing weight didn't help. I was creating eggs but didn't have enough LH to kick them out!

I got pregnant in May 1998 but lost the baby and my left fallopian tube due to an ectopic pregnancy....this reduced my chances of a pregnancy to 10%! However, on Dec 3, 1998 I conceived my beautiful, miracle Ava who was born Aug 24, 1999 and is almost 14!!

My wife and I just got married in Oct as NY finally made it legal, she also has a bio son who was born Aug 20, 1999...so we have Step-Twins!!

I didn't go on Metformin until 2002 (after Ava was weaned) and it helped a lot, but I just stopped taking it...

I guess my point is that MIRACLES HAPPEN!!! I went through hell and back to get my daughter but she has been worth every second. Don't give up and if you want to add me as a cheerleader go right ahead!

I've been looking for friends and support too. I'm queer (as in something like pansexual), not lesbian, but I do have PCOS. I take metformin right now, as well as other medications for it. Not trying to conceive either, but I'd still be interested in being friends if you'd like someone to talk to! I've been hoping to find other friends who are genderqueer or queer in some other way to talk to and to hopefully have friends on here who understand me a bit better than most.

Ditto to pretty much everyone on looking for friends and support. I was diagnosed with PCOS the same year I came out to my family - back in the days when even the doctors didn't even really know much about it. Big year for me. :)

My weight skyrocketed up to 242lbs this past year after my partner and I broke up two years ago. I lost the bad relationship, but apparently attached all of the "baggage" to my hips and stomach! I have started working out daily before work and am getting SO much better about what I eat. I have finally come into my own this year and realised that I need to do this for *me* and no one else! On a journey. *cue sappy music*

I am on Necon 1/35 BC and metformin to help with the PCOS. The BC has made me work like clockwork in the downtown department - first time since I was 21! The metformin is really helping to lower my blood sugar. I look forward to my weight loss nixing the meds!

Anyone - please feel free to send me a friend request! I log on every day and am working on becoming more active on MFP and am so happy to find a LGBT group here.
