drop in milk supply from dieting?

Do you guys notice a drop in your milk supply when you eat less? I feel like every time I start watching what I'm eating, even when I eat the recommended minimum of 1500 calories, I notice a drop in my milk supply. Does any one else notice this? Is there anything that helps mitigate this drop in supply?

How long have you been nursing? I personally didn't really start dieting until my girl was 1 and I never noticed any drop in supply.
If I were you I would start out a little lower than maintenance, and gradually decrease your intake until you're at 1500 or 1600 calories.0 -
I try to net 1600 calories after I deduct for nursing, but I find that my water intake affects my supply more than anything.0

How old is your baby? If she's still young then yes, it's very common to have a drop in supply. Try waiting until 10 months or so.0
