Friday -- I literally passed out and never even got my laundry done. I worked a lot last week!
Saturday -- Worked - a mountain site so got flown in via helicopter. Some of the biologists find it fun, but I'm in a really windy area so I'm not too fond of it. Laundry and Breaking Bad with my daughter.
Sunday--- Oh.My.Gosh -- Concert day:
Woke up early (4ish) despite my efforts to try to sleep in as I knew it would be a long day. I managed to get back to sleep for a couple more hours so that was good.
Hung out with my daughter watching TV and relaxing then got ready to meet my date for the Mumford & Sons concert. I met him at a Home Depot and we left my truck there so we could ride together to the venue. Stopped for sandwiches which we ended up eating after we got parked.
Hung out in the car for awhile after we got parked and then got in line to get into the venue. There were three bands before Mumford - Mystery Jets, Eels, and then Michale Kiwanuka. Kiwanuka was really good and I need to look into his music.
During the intermission between Kiwanuka and Mumford my cute date got up to get us some food. Well the band started, everyone stood up... and that coupled with the long lines I was starting to think he'd ditched me! LOL Took him forever to find me again. After he did it was good. I was totally stressing there for a few minutes. LMAO.
Mumford was incredible. Those guys put on an incredible live show. I've seen a lot of concerts and this is probably, by far, the best even I've attended. Still amazed at how good they sound live. I actually prefer them live to recorded now. Anna... prepare to be amazed!!
After the show ended we walked back to his car and waited for a lot of the traffic to subside... which gave us about 90 minutes to um.. well... make out like high school kids. It was cool... completely achieved 100% fogging of the windshield.
We ended up FINALLY getting out of there and I got back to my truck and then finally home just after 2AM.... I was up at 4:30 for work, so I'm totally dragging *kitten* but it was SO worth it. Every minute.0 -
Friday - Sunday: was mostly sick and slept off a cold. Feeling much better today.

I'm sad you had a "sick" weekend. However, you had an entire week off going a million miles an hour..... perhaps your body was telling you. "Slow down, sistah... I need some rest"!
Glad you're feeling better. :flowerforyou:0 -
I had the best weekend. I'm still grinning with happiness.
Friday - saw the new Hangover which was funny, and afterwards went for a beer at a neighborhood bar and had some bomb apps with my oldest friend from elementary school.
Saturday - good work out and even better 2.5 hr nap. Then my college friends and I went out to the bars. Didn't spent a dime as this rather attractive guy approached my friend and asked us what we were drinking. He bought us all huge beers (like 32 oz) and two shots each. Coupled with the drinks I had pregamed with I was drunk. I talked to him and his friend for a while and they were really cool. They told us to meet them at another bar. We stopped at a different bar first and then went to that bar they'd told us about. I ran into my high school crush there haha and danced my *kitten* off with my friends. Met up with those guys again and danced with them. Didn't get their numbers or anything but it was fun.
Sunday - went to the mall with my friends, house hunted for fun with my parents, sobbed like a baby at Perks of Being a Wallflower.0 -
I went to the Ocean. I live there in the summer.
I ate like crap for the first time in 4 months.
Not a single *kitten* was given
No hotties, so bummer.

Woohooo sounds like an awesome night out.0 -
Friday: it ended up just being me and one of my friends going to the AAA baseball game but that was okay. We sat second row behind the dugout and about one section over from being right behind the plate (I don't like the net in front of me) and holy cow yeah I love me some baseball players. My team lost in the bottom of the 9th after coming back to tie it in the top of the ninth.
Saturday: got up early and went and did the color my run, we walked it so we could get the most color. It was a fun event but my friend accidently threw away her wallet.
Our team football team ended up being short girls so we forfited the game but I wanted to show up in my colorful glory.
Saturday afternoon I went to a pool party which was awesome. I have become a master sangria maker and was feeling no pain.
Spent about 4 hours at the pool party then headed over to a friends backyard BBQ until about 11.
Sunday I chilled at home until our softball games in the afternoon. We won both playoff games and are in the championship game next week.0 -

Perks is a great movie!!! Soundtrack was awesome and the story reminded me of High School and yeah it might have put some extra water in my eyes as well.0 -
Friday I went to see West Side Story--had never seen the movie--I didn't know it was SAD!!! The production was good, but our seats were terrible--just uncomfortable for any one over 5'.
Saturday spent the day at my friends pool with her and her little girl and my sister and her family--very nice day with all the kids playing and having fun. My niece did wipe out and fall in the pool, but she had lifejacket on, and so she was not scared, but scraped the heck out of the back of her leg--felt so bad!!!
Saturday night was date #2--seemed to go very well, but he was quiet yesterday--though he was busy with lots to do,a nd has been quiet today so we shall see.
Sunday was beach day at my family cottage--another day with sister niece and nephew --and sunburn to prove it-ouch!0 -
Ruth, it was fun! And your color my run run sounds awesome! I did the Color Run which is probably similar I'm assuming. It was great, I was so dirty after!
BigBrewski it reminded me of high school too (good and bad memories). I cried so hard at the end it was crazy!0 -

If you spent those 90 minutes to sleep you wouldn't be dragging *kitten* today. I hope it was worth it to some desert creature that won't be documented because you can't stay awake today.0 -

LOL -- OMG, you're funny. Just so you know.. I AM dragging *kitten*.. BUT I'm awake with the help of the Monsters I'm main-lining. I do take my job pretty seriously so no animal will be harmed in any way today. I promise. Also.... it's super windy here today so all my crews left and I'm basically monitoring an empty landing zone. I'm here "just in case" someone needs to use the site. Doubtful. Basically I'm getting paid to hang out on MFP... which is how I'm staying awake.
..and 90 minutes of smooching will always win over sleep....
Man, I love your humor! :flowerforyou:0 -
My weekend was all about Sunday... I was hosting a houswarming party at my new place for all my friends so Friday night I shopped for the food, Saturday I prepped and cooked a ton of food and then Sunday I got to enjoy hanging out with my amazing friends on my patio. It was totally worth the effort but it was exhausting!0

AssHattery LOL I once had bought a hat at a mall Kiosk and had *kitten* embroidered on it ... then we passed it around when ever someone had an asshat moment they had to wear the *kitten* hat0 -
Ok My weeked Recap
Friday - I forgot what I did Friday for a while but thanks to a friend jogging my memory I did Laundy (still sitting in the dryer LOL) and watched a dumb movie on HBO nothing more to disucss about Friday
Saturday - Did some shopping did some cleaning (didn't fold my laundry left it in the dryer) realized that the Penguins Game was on so quickly went to a bar where I could enjoy the game with a crowd. Penguins Lost and there weren't many "fun" hockey fans so tonight I might go to the Steelers Bar as I am sure there will be Penguins fans there...However, I think tonight will consist may consist of sleep.
Sunday - Sunday - Sunday Funday
Sunday - Got up early so I could make my weekly Racquetball game at 8AM. Racquetball was hard, fun, and intense. I managed to win more games than I lost which has been an issue lately becaue my friend has been playing a LOT more than me and he is getting better. When I started playing with him I was the better player now we are evenly matched so if I am not "on my game" I lose. This is good becuase it makes for better "burns" during the game and will make me a better player.
Sunday - picked up lunch with a friend (yep same friend I met last weekend, second date) and headed to an outdoor concert
Sunday Funday - The concert was fun..food trucks, live music, great weather (got a little sunburned but not that bad), awesome people watching it doesn't get much better.....
ok now for some more dish .... on the concert The first band was a mystery and becuase they were playing while a lot of people were getting settled into the lawn seats I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to them but they were good and I'll try to look them up online...Second band was terrible but funny, they all wore matching adidas jumpsuits YEP and after each song the lead singer would call a band member out saying, "you did so GREAT come over here and give me a HUG" After the last song they did a GROUP hug...funny but well saddly their music wasn't good (not just my opinion my totally awesome date shared the opinion). Third band was a jimmi hendrix blues type band and would make for great background music at work and make for an awesome sitting on a blanket as the sun was setting. The FINAL band ROCKED wow to put it in words..they had violins, old fasion bass, banjos, keyboards, drums, and a HORN Section with 2 Trumpits and a Trombone YES a real LIVE Horn section yep I was excited about that. Even better the band members all played different instruments...one song the lead singer was playing the drums the next he was playing the bass or guitar...very very fun.
ok ok now for the "date" dish - I don't know what to say other than WOW. I don't have a no kissing on the second date rule so yeah there was some awesome kissing. While the second band was playing (the one that sucked) it gave us the chance to just lay on the blanket snuggled up her head resting on my chest. It was so comfy looking at the clear blue sky with the cool breeze that I totally FORGOT that we were surrounded by 20K people (good thing I didn't try to undress her) and then when the third band started it just got better.........So this goes without saying there will be a third date assuming that she doesn't BOLT or BAIL .................. <smile>0 -

Apparently you didn't get enough sleep either.0
