I ran into the woman who, due to my strong infatuation, helped me realize my love for women, today. She is still as beautiful as the most precious day.....wow ;} Do any of you remember the woman/man who made your orientation obvious?

I remember mine. I had the strongest crush on her in high school, and I always was weirded out by it. She always smelled like cinnamon oil. We were never in a relationship, but when she moved away, my heart ached like it never did before! I guess this cemented my sexuality quite a bit. I think a part of me will always love her!

ty Saratini, I totally understand ;) Imagine how I felt when I saw her. I was shocked and excited. I haven't seen her in almost two years! She gave me some inspirational words towards my weight loss journey and we talked for 15 min. It was nice. She never knew how I felt about her so I just chuckled to myself after we parted ;)

LOL. Straight girl crushes are the worst, aren't they? I've had my share, and where I live, it's hard to tell sexuality because in the "bible belt" no one is that openly "out". My partner and I are, but we do receive our share of odd looks and questioning scowls. This happens more at my daughter's school functions than anything!

Not only do I remember her, I remember the conversation we had. We'd met at a college party and left to go get Krystal food.
Her: I'd like to get to know you better.
Me: Sure. [Interior voice: I thought that's what we were doing now.]
Her: No, I'd like to get to know you better.
Me: Um. Okay.
Her: J, I'm a lesbian. I'd like to GET TO KNOW YOU BETTER.
ME: Oh! I'm not. [pause pause pause] Yet.

Oh, and I saw her at a Pride festival about five years ago, which would have been 20+ years post-college.

Yes, we did talk at that Pride. It was fun to see her but we didn't have much in common anymore. I didn't have the massive crush on her that you did with yours. She was just sort of my "gateway" woman back in the day. Heh.
