A Message From God...

I didn't put this on the open Community boards, because I already got cautioned about that, when I made the mistake of talking about my beliefs in post in the Motivation section. This post is for my CHRISTIAN Sisters and Bothers.

Today, I did my usual morning stuff: checked in with MFP friends, posted my newest weight loss, had my breakfast shake, got dressed and then...got myself set up for my 30 minutes of Sit And Fit exercises.

It was about half way through my exercise routine, when I noticed someting on my wall...specifically on my calender. It is one of those large Thomas Kinkade calenders with an assortment of his gorgeous pictures. This month's picture shows a lovely Victorian style home and with lush, colorful flowers lining a pathway to the front porch. That picture was about all I noticed, when I hastily changed the page from May to June...until today.

As I was exercising, I looked up and the 'words' in the upper corner of the Kinkade picture. How did I miss that message from God?

"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. - 1 Corinthians 10:31"

I stopped the exercise video to read the words again...and again. Of course, isn't this what it is all about?

What I eat (good or bad choices), what I drink (again good or bad) and whatever I do (good or bad...healthy or not...wise or foolish...kind or cruel) are supposed to be done to the GLORY OF GOD.

When I make bad choices in anything, I am NOT honoring God. When I am lazy, thoughtless, mooding or discouraged, am I doing ANYTHING to the glory of God? No.

When I stay faithful to the things that are good for me...when work harder for progress instead of giving up...when I keep going and stay positive...I am doing ALL to the GLORY OF GOD.

Today, I pray that all of my sisters and brothers will DO ALL to the glory of God. I know that He will reward us for staying faithful and honoring Him even in our efforts to become healthier children of our loving Father. He is with us in ALL that we do. We just have to remember that.

What a wonderful reminder! We can do everything to give Him glory. What a comfort to know also that Christ died to forgive us for the many times we fail. I'm looking forward to the time when we all get to be with Him in heaven and praise Him with our glorified bodies! Thanks so much for your encouragement!
