Ball Rage

I posted this in one of my comments after doing a wall-ball WOD, but it seemed to go unnoticed so thought I would put it out here!

Does anyone else get really angry at the ball when they are doing wall-balls? I don't have a lot of experience doing them (have only had them in 2-3 WOD's so far), but when I am done I just want to kick the ball and I even uttered the words "screw you, ball" out loud. Of course I refrained from kicking it to save my toes (I often wear vibram five fingers), but I thought it was kind of funny how I got mad at an inanimate object like that. I've gotten over it though and I'm back on good terms with the ball....until next time!

    When I do slam balls, I smash them extra hard, to make up for the agony they put me thru with the wall balls.

    I too slam my slam balls so hard that they go oval and flat. Great to get the frustration and pain out on something without ending up in a squad car.

    My WOD was 4 rounds of 25 wall balls, 50 double unders for time. This is only my second week so I used the 10lb ball and did 100 regular jumps. I let the expletives fly when I was done. Of course I was extremely frustrated with the fact that I was peeing myself almost the entire time i was jumping rope..... I thought that wall balls wouldn't be too bad. I was wrong......
