Do we have to find hills/mountains so we can match the climbs as well? If so, I'm out.

no constraints on what you ride, where you ride it, or what you ride it on - just ride it, log it (via gps on strava or garmin connect) and post the results.

where I am, I'm hard pushed to include anything major - indeed, to get above 670m on the road in this country is impossible!

I can do Monday, July 8. (The first rest day.)

I have no Garmin or Strava.

I also don't think I could ride that many consecutive days in a row without killing myself.

Ok. I ride most days to work with weekend trips when I can. I'm in. What do I do now?

There is a third team started so there is plenty of room left for more cyclists to ride a virtual Tour de France.

Sorry folks - i've been slacking a little - my back's been playing up, and sitting at the computer for longerer periods seems to aggravate it, so I'm only working in short bursts at the moment, but I'm going to get the spreadsheet sorted today hopefully, then get onto the Dosards...

it's just a sort of "convention" that the team leader or the guy who's going for the overall yellow jersey get's the xx1 number in a team -that said, there have been occasions where the team got behind another rider, either through injury or by willful deception from the Team Managers...

In short, don't sweat it mate...
