Looking for running buddies!

Hi Everyone,
I'm relatively new to mfp and I'm looking for some running pals! Please add me if you're in the same boat.
I've been running off and on for years but decided in April to take it seriously. I signed up for some races this summer and my first one ever is on Monday (Canada Day). When I train, I run anywhere from 5 km to 16 km, on roads and trails. This summer my focus is to improve my 5 km and 10 km times and next summer, I would like to run a couple half-marathons.
My two main motivators are weight loss (10 lbs to go) and my dog (Argyle). I take my dog on every run. Amazingly, even the 16 km runs don't wear him out. He's an inspiration!
Anyway...if you're similar to me, please add me and we'll keep each other motivated!
Cheers,
Kathleen

What kind of dog do you have? We had a boxer named Rock Star that was like yours. Could not wear him out for anything!! We ended up giving him to a family that lived on a large family farm. Our other dogs, a Newf and a German Shepherd, did not appreciate the addition. :brokenheart:0

Argyle is a great dane/lab mix. Basically... a giant lean black lab!0
