Hello!

Is anyone else feeling this way? The heat is killing me, my legs are swelling up... I am usually a very active person, but when I being physically active, my stomach cramps badly. I am under a large amount of stress lately, but don't think that has this effect. Anyone else feeling blue? I am not eating all my calories, averaging 1200 which is 300 more than I was eating previously, and am at a 10 pound increase so far.

Any suggestions to feel better? PLEASE!

Sincerely,
Brenda

Sounds tough. Can you swim? You don't need to 'work out' but just relax and float a bit - cool yourself down, take the weight off your feet and unwind.

The exhaustion could very well be caused by not eating enough. I know that if I eat below my BMR (which is 1450 not pregnant) that I feel horrible, tired and start to have physical symptoms I wouldn't otherwise. Have you been sick or unable to eat more?

This is a good tool based on activity level that gives a good estimate of calorie needs in pregnancy. I am 5"4 and was at goal weight when I got pregnant and I am eating 2250 per day with an average gain at six months.

The last three months are tough though, so be sure to take good care of yourself physically and mentally. Let other people take care of you, too. Also, I have found lemon water and apple cider vinegar to help with any water retention.

I definitely hit a wall at 7 months and then a wall hit me around 8 months (or maybe that was a truck - I slept so little I couldn't see straight).

However I have to agree that your calories intake sounds rather low, which might account for an additional cause for your low energy.

    Best wishes!

I'm with you on this one! I'm definitely slowing down, but trying to continue to push myself. The heat really bothers me too at this point! I second what Mary said about the swimming. My gym is re-opening the pool next week and i've been counting down the days for the last month!
