Which lift do you strubble with the most? For me its snatch. Just can't keep the bar stable above my head while hitting the right depth in the squat. Everything is all over the place!

I'd have to agree with you... Squat snatch is really tough.
Make sure you are doing the proper warm up for it, then start with an empty Jr bar and work your way up from there. It's weird but I find it gets easier as the bar gets heavier since I engage my shoulders/core faster.0 -
I take the oly class at our gym 3x per week. Consistency with right technique is key. I got very consistent with bad technique over my first 3 yrs of CrossFit. Having a coach that is an Oly specialist basically start me over a yr and a half ago, was key to me being able to get better. My bad form had me just get stuck without progress.0

Cleans for me. I just don't have the timing down quite right yet.
We are doing them tonight for the WOD so I'll just use a lower weight until I get it right.0 -
Squat snatch for me. That was the main part of the WOD today in my box and I couldn't get deep enough into my squat and kept throwing the bar too far behind me. Frustrating.0

I second the squat snatch!0

Yep... agreed
but "squat" snatch is redundant.
a snatch includes a squat - you dont have to say it.0 -

In my experience, there are many different kind of snatches. Muscle snatch, hang squat snatch, full snatch, power snatch... I guess if you are just going to strictly Oly lifts, then the snatch does imply the full squat.0 -
snatch. I have a hard time getting past the "clean" position. My max power clean is 105#. Max Snatch? #65.. so yea.0

Actually there is a a Power snatch and a squat snatch.0

My understanding is that "squat snatch" is not redundant. The only requirement of the snatch is to get it over your head in one motion. You can power snatch and still get credit for the lift, however one can typically do more weight in a squat snatch than a power snatch. If the WOD says "squat snatch" then you are required to go below parallel in our squat. If it just says "snatch" then you can do squat or power snatches.
Does anyone disagree?0
