Are You Hungrier on Lift or Non-Lift Days...?

For me: Non-lift. It hits me like a ton of bricks the minute I wake up, like some kind of dragon recently awoken from its slumber.

I'm not really hungry, but I am less busy on rest days so I crave more food...

Lift in the AM and ravenous by mid-afternoon. And I can't seem to control it. Have gained 10 pounds since starting the program! But I am much stronger and still wear size 4 pants.

It really seems to vary for me. I lift in the morning, so sometimes I'm ravenous in the afternoon. But yesterday I guess I was busy so I didn't end up eating that much. I had a decent dinner, but usually I eat more throughout the day. I will probably make up for it today, though.

Recently I've been ready to eat a horse when I get home from the gym. I think it's because I started doing machines and exercises that are new to me and thus challenging myself more. I also like to workout in the early am before eating, so there's that too.

I will find on lift days I am craving protein like no other though. Meat, cheese, more meat....

I make sure to have a protein- dense snack immediately after I finish my workout. I then have a full meal an hour or so later because otherwise I would die of starvation. So I'm definitely more hungry on lifting days.

I *eat* more on lifting days because I need a snack before & after lifting to support my blood sugar.

But I feel *hungrier* the day after lifting. I lift at 3:30 in the afternoon.

I find that when I hit my macros consistently I am not as likely to be out-of-control hunngry.

And I have learned that I just need a break to eat at maintenance every so often. If I've been on a deficit for a while, I will be hungry (and lethargic and crabby) all the time.

usually on lift days I eat fairly well and since I lift after 9 or 10 PM, I usually feel the hunger the next day.

I lift around 10 am, but I'm usually much more hungry on my rest days. I always just guessed that my body needs the fuel for recovery, but I could be deluding myself. : )

I am hungry all the time! No matter whether it is a lift day or not. I am also usually hungry even if i just ate.
