Hi Everybody! I am going to start doing carb cycling a la Chris Powell starting on Monday, July 1st. I plan on trying it for 10 weeks straight and see how I do!

I have both books, and I am going to try the turbo plan for it! LC LC HC LC LC HC sunday funday

I am struggling to see how to cook everything! I am a mom to six kiddos, and I want then to kind of eat like us, but of course not as strict.

Any ideas on how to cook and meal plan easily? I plan on trying to cook on Wednesday nights, and Saturdays to be prepared ahead of time.

I hope everybody is doing great!

I plan my week in advance and do all the prep ahead of time, like you had mentioned. I even measure everything out...like 1 cup of granola goes in a zippy bag.

I also tend to eat the same things all week long and then change it up the next week. I only have about 3 weekly rotations. This really helps work for me because it is a little boring and takes the entertainment value out of eating. It also helps me use up all ingredients. And I only have to figure a LC day and a HC day once for the week.

I've got protein and veggies portioned out in the freezer so I can just grab and heat.

I've done low-carb a lot in the past and that was pretty easy to make work for everyone because I would just make a meat and veggie side, and then add a carb for the rest of the crew. For me, CTL is much more difficult to incorporate into everyone else's meals, so I quit trying. I just make my stuff and I have a little plastic basket in the fridge and the pantry where I put my food for the week and just cook whatever for everyone else. Other people may have suggestions for incorporating this plan with the rest of the family.
