20 weeks & counting!

Hi! I'm very happy to have found this group! I had really hoped to lose weight before Feb when I was planning to start trying to get pregnant. Come March 3rd I got my wish, minus the weight loss part. So I've made it this far with very little weight gain & after some early pregnancy woes I am able to do some prenatal exercises. Yoga is my new best friend. Anyway I'm happy to hear about other expecting ladies here at mfp.

I am 34, 4'11" & 209lbs. Really hoping to maintain my weight as much as possible until the end. Then I plan to kick *kitten* while nursing afterwards. Years ago I lost over 100lbs & kept it off for a long time. Like a decade. Then somewhere between married life & trying toget pregnant the first time, the weight started creeping up. Now I'm 30 or so pounds away from my heaviest ever. After my 22month old was born I was back to 150. It's time for me to get my sense of self back. After this baby I'll have my family complete & can go forward w long term life & happiness. Including my happiness & health. For. Myself & my girls. :-)

You've got a great attitude lady. Keep it up and don't get down if the scale creeps up a little.

We must be due around the same time... Today is the last day of week 19 for me! I was totally rocking the weight loss thing--even lost during IVF--but I had a pregnancy in December that ended in January (miscarriage). Although my life returned to "normal" in a matter of days I somehow managed to gain a few lbs. Then I got pregnant again in March and was terrified of another miscarriage so I didn't work out (like, at all) for the first 10ish weeks.

I've maintained for the last several weeks, am up 7 lbs total thus far. Trying to eat well, walk a lot...just stay active. I've always been into adventurous and sometimes intense exercises (think aerial obstacle courses, 50+ mile bike rides, hiking the "difficult" trails, etc....) so this period of taking it easy is hard on me mentally, but I think it's the right move for me right now.

Best wishes to you on a healthy pregnancy! We're going to gain what we're going to gain (I honestly believe that!) so let's just try to make sure it's from healthy stuff not potato chips and ice cream!
