So my diognosis was confirmed today, Literally about an hour ago. I've been blessed with one beautiful little boy and after a year of trying again after a miscarriage last may I've gone through fertility testing. Honestly its just nice to know what the issue is so i can move forward. We are confident with Clomid we will be able to get pregnant, but i'm more concerend about the changes to everything else. I know weight loss will help, but honestly that is one of the biggest issues for me. I have a hard time losing. I start on Metformin and really just need to hear what else works well for everyone else. I have a history of High blood pressure, high cholestoral and diabetes in my family and i'm determined that having PCOS isnt going to make me have these health issues as well!

Hi! I have had PCOS since I was about 15 and not to long ago I learned that it is very important to lose as much weight as you can before getting pregnant with PCOS because of the risk of miscarriages ...... yes it is so very hard and PCOS doesnt make things any easier...but we can do this!!!!! Always keep in your mind that sugar is NOT our friend . I wish you the best of luck!

Did you say you are taking Metformin - I am too. The doctor advised me to stay on even after I got pregnant, probably through the first trimester. I read a study that it decreases the chance of miscarriage from 40% (!!!) to 8%. Two more weeks until I out of the first trimester and so far, aside from the fact that I did not pass my first glucose test, so good.
