All I know at the moment is that he is a tight end for the New England Patriot that is currently a suspect in a murder trial. I don't have enough facts to go on regarding his guilt or innocence. So for the moment I have to assume he is innocent until he is proven guilty.

Honestly, beyond his name I don't know anything about him or why he is in the news... other than the above post. I have enough trouble keeping up with the Cowboys players and their indiscretions...

He should have hired Ray Donovan to do the cover up.

I think he and Ray Lewis are in constant contact. But hey, innocent until proven guilty regardless of what TV and radio says. My opinion, it doesn't look to good. Then again, I'm no criminal justice expert nor amatuer.

After reading an article last night, it is being said that the prosecution will have a hard time proving "beyond a reasonable doubt" and he may be found not guilty.

    link please...

everything ive heard says he is 100% guilty of at least participating in the murder and may even be the gunman.

Basically they are bringing into question the reliability of the people he was with. They are being charged with a crime too. They also have a rather large criminal history. They get offered a better deal if they tell the prosecution what they want to hear. Also, yes...there are some questionable things that he has done (i.e. security system and having his how cleaned) but there is no weapon to be found and no eyewitness (with a good amount of reliability) to say that he shot Lloyd. The other issue would be the fact that Hernandez's girlfriend has said that Lloyd was a drug dealer. Drug dealers keep bad company. Any number of people could have shot him.

at first glance that article has the feel of someone going against the grain just to get page views. but who knows...it may shake out that way.

this guy's been hanging around trouble for a long time. thoughts among my peers are that tebow was brought in specifically to try to keep him on the straight and narrow -- too late, obviously.

he's also clearly not very bright.

If Ray Lewis can get away with murder and everybody loves him....why can't Aaron Hernandez?

The story was supposedly very similar to the Aaron Hernandez case.

he was charged with obstruction after he became a witness against the other two guys. they cut him a deal.

first of all the Lewis incident was due to a fight outside a club. it wasnt premeditated like Hernandez.

secondly Lewis wasnt involved in the fight. he was a witness to the fight and tried to have it go away so it wouldnt hurt his career. thats where the obstruction came from.

so lewis and hernandez are very different incidents.

    regarding the Lewis case:

"The murder charges stemmed from a vicious fight in Atlanta streets following a Super Bowl Party in 2000. Eventually, the case ended with the defendants acquitted for reasons of self defense. In the eyes of the court, no murder took place."

the only similarities is that someone died and a football player was involved. the actual cases are extremely different.

Aaron Hernandez should have killed the guy in Florida. He could use the "stand your ground" law as his basis for shooting the guy. *please note the sarcasm*
