It has just worked out that this week is and has been already, a heavy 'cardio' week. Long hikes (steep hi.ls), bike rides, etc....
Cardio wears me OUT! Seriously! (I have a mild, mild, mild heart condition. Cardio seriously fatigues me.

How bad will it be on my lifts, and my LBM preservation to only do squats a couple times this week....MD next week I am going on a road trip to visit a friend.

My numbers are good, my body fat is about where I want it. I have this irrational fear that my body fat % will BALLOON with this cardio and time off lifting like normal

I'd vote for a lifting break. How long have you been doing the program? I took two weeks off when I was about 4 months in, and then worked back up from deloaded weights. If you don't want to skip this week, I think squatting less would be very reasonable.

Couple times a week on squats is fine. Everyone has their limits.

I have the opposite problem. No cardio to speak of, and I have to find a way to work it in somehow.

No lifting program is written in blood. No exercise program is either. You adapt it to suit your needs.

Thanks. I know I'll be fine, but my brain keeps trying to tell me it will backfire. And I think I will get some body weight stuff done this week. It will make me feel better to to something les cardio.

Take care - and if you are worried about anything - see if you can talk your concerns over with a doctor.

I found it a hard shift to stop running and take a break - I initially just took a few months off ( I do walk at least 5-7 miles every day) , started eating at tdee , looked into lifting and haven't ran since - at some point I will start again but just for fun.
