I have decided to try praying Lauds and Vespers from the Breviary, and I decided to track them on MFP. I call them Strength Exercises (spiritual strength) and I do 1 rep with 1 set. :)

If others want to follow the divine office but don't have a breviary, it is on the web. I use it regularly to place my ribbons: http://divineoffice.org/

I love the idea of logging prayers to keep you faithful.

When I walk, I listen to the Chaplet of Divine Mercy (song) - here's the link if anyone's interested

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYtxixBnVGg

The Chaplet of The Divine Mercy:
    1. Begin with the Sign of the Cross, 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary and The Apostles Creed.
    2. Then on the Our Father Beads say the following:
Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
    3. On the 10 Hail Mary Beads say the following:
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
(Repeat step 2 and 3 for all five decades).
    4. Conclude with (three times):
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

JESUS, KING OF MERCY. WE TRUST IN YOU!♥

    Optional Closing Prayer:
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion — inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

how funny you use this too! I have it on my phone and sometimes listen while walking. I have to say I have to take breaks from it now and then. and some of the music is great.

Yes, I love the chanting. And I sing along when I follow it on my computer at home, even though I am tone deaf and sing off-key, a bit like Lucy in I Love Lucy. With hubby downstairs watching football, there are time when being an empty-nester is great. My little daughter would look up when I was singing lulabies to her has a baby and her little hands would go up and press themselves firmly upon my lips. The Lord is the only one who can make my voice pleasing to Him.

Keep singing, Grassette! I did a penance service for our youth one time and we were about to sing, something that teenagers do not like to do, especially in front of other teenagers! I told them not to worry about their singing. God hears what they wish they sounded like! The laughed and all of them sang!! God hears you singing like an angel!!!
