Cholesterol and PCOS/insulin resistance

Okay, I turn 34 next week. This Jan I went in for my yearly check up and my lipids were Trig: 286 and Chol: 198. So I really watched what I ate and started to exercise again. Well my re-check was this month. Trig: 431 and Chol:234. WTF! I have been watching what I eat, drink and exercising regularly. Can this be a "normal" thing" that happens to us over time? I am following up with my Doc mid next Month and insisting on getting on some lipid meds. Any suggestions on some good ones for PCOS/insulin resistance peeps?

HI! I also have very high triglycerides and cholesterol! My doctor said that they can get high if you run high blood sugar..also I read that PCOS also can cause a rise in cholesterol and triglycerides.
