John 9:35-41
Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? 36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? 37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. 38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. 40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? 41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

    Please your advice! Ungodly husband

I have been growing closer to god but my husband (married for 2 months) hasn’t. What can I do? How can I get him closer to god? I want him to be the spiritual leader (and just leader) of our home. I want to follow him but find that I make most of the decisions around our home…

When I try to talk to him about religion he is a little cynical about it and sais he doesn’t know if he really believes…
How can I turn my husband in to a believing man that is the head of his home?

    Would really appreciate your help!

    1. The blind man asked Jesus (not knowing who He was) who was the Son of Man.

    2. Jesus said that He was and the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.

    3. Some Pharisees asked, “Are we blind too?” Jesus said that if you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin.

    INTERPRETATION:

The blind man couldn't see Jesus and believed in Him. The Pharisees could see but didn't believe in Jesus, so therefore guilty of sin.

Take a moment and write down three observations of the verses. What strikes you? An observation is an observable fact from the Word.
    1. When Jesus heard the man had been rejected; He sought the man out. It hurts to be rejected by others.

    2. Jesus asked the man if he believed. Because of his willingness to stand by Jesus' even at the risk of being thrown out; Jesus sought the man out. He then revealed that He is the son of God.

    3. God first healed the man, then allowed him to be persecuted; and then followed him to reveal His identity to the man. Then, the man worshipped Jesus.

    INTERPRETATION:

What do you interpret these verses to mean for you today? Sometimes, we will be persecuted and mocked for our belief. Claiming miracles...like say to your doctor is really hard! Can we go boldly proclaiming the word of God. I admit that, even I, at times...struggle with outwardly proclaiming Jesus. Don't get me wrong! I will do it...but it sometimes, puts me out if my comfort zone. This is, I feel, the most IMPORTANT time to proclaim His word over your life for His glory. Have you ever gone out to eat and your companions just begin to eat...without asking God to bless the food!? It can be hard to bow your head and begin prayer. Sometimes, it convicts others and that makes them angry. I've heard people say, It don't take all that! How do they know WHAT it takes!? I was in the middle of the grocery store the other day when my sister called...asking me tearfully to pray for her. She's just had surgery and she was feeling poorly. I didn't stop to think, "Well, I can't do this HERE!" Right in the produce aisle, I asked God to touch her and heal her!!!! I'm so glad I did! We will be called out of our comfort zone. The question is, "Will you allow your flesh to win?"

    Mayan,
I posted another note to you in answer to this.

Do know that he cannot be the spiritual leader at this point, because he doesn't believe. There are many examples of women spiritual leaders in the Bible both in the Old Testament, and the New Testament. Many believe that Hebrews was written by a woman apostle. Wonderful examples of leadership.

Don't be afraid to be a spiritual leader, if God is calling you to be one.

God may call us to do things we think we can't do.

But it is God who gives us the talent, power and love to do God's will. We can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us.
At the same time, you can be respectful of him as a husband, without diminishing his part in the family. For a woman to be a good leader does not require her to undermine her husband. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge God, and your choices will be directed by your Lord.

We will be praying for your situation.
Know that God is with you...and we are praying for a good resolve.
    Blessings,
    ChapLynne

Thank you for your reply! I didn’t find the other note you posted…
Im working on trusting God in whatever plans he has in store for my but it isn’t always easy… I know how much power I have over my husband as a wife and I want to learn how to use that power in a positive way so we can grow together.
    Thank you so much!

    Observations and Interpretation:

    1. Jesus calls himself the Son of Man (he also is the Son of God).

    2. Jesus called on the man to believe...and he did.

    3. Sometimes God is right in front of people and they don't recognize Him or His work.

    Application:
Today I learned that we are sometimes completely oblivious to the work God is doing.

Prayer: Father, I ask that you would help us recognize when you are at work in situations in our lives and that we would respond accordingly. Please help us see and be aware.

@mayancoh...I've been in the same situation for 3+ years, I'll be praying for you and thanks for posting!
