running with no socks

So today I go to the gym to change for my run over lunch. I didn't pack my running socks, and I hadn't worn socks to work..so I decided to just run without socks as I have read that people have done that with my shoes (Saucony Kinvara) I figured I only had 4 miles on my schedule, so I should be fine. It actually felt pretty good, now I don't know how far I would be willing to test this theory...anyone else run without socks?

I go sock-less in my VFF Bikilas but although I feel like I'd be fine sockless in my Nike Free 3.0s I tend to use socks with them.

I only go without socks in my track spikes. I'm sure I could in all my shoes, but I wear socks more to give my shoes protection from my feet rather than the other way around. The shoes smell bad enough as it is.

I don't wear socks. Well I did for Ironman Texas and probably didn't need to there either.

I feel like running without socks is...well, never mind...let's just say I find it unpleasant.

As an aspiring barefoot runner, I do not care much for socks.

I never wear socks with my Vibram Five Fingers.

For my other shoes I sometimes wear (very thin) socks for odor prevention. Foot powder and alternating shoes for each run can help with this as well.
