What motivated you to want to lose weight?

  • For me..my motivation was my son..after I had him I got a new drive.I wanted to be healthy for him. So I can be here for him a long time...so I can run..jump and play with him when he gets older...
    Also I want to feel good about myself again..feel sexy!

    My motivation is almost the same as yours mrstaylor7...I don't have kids yet buy I'm a newly wed so kids are in the future and I want to be around for my husband and future kids and be able to play around and go hiking and anything else we want to do with the fear of getting to tired or whatever. But mainly my motivation was the day I looked at some pictures of myself and realized how big I had gotten. A sad day, a life changing day...but it's ok cause I'm changing it!!

  • You probably should just continue to eat healthy..and workout a few times a week..you don't have much to lose so it should be easy...good luck! You can do it!

  • Hi everyone.. my motivation was also my kids. I'm 31 n for one reason or another I was exhausted n had no energy to hang out with my kids. I've been working out for 2 weeks n it has really given me that push I needed. I'm loving it n can't wait to get my sexy back lol so I'm glad to join this motivation group cus lord knows I need it :-D

    So happy to have you!! And yes, from what I hear children will have you worn out so you gotta be ready!. I just live the feeling of getting healthier! Almost like your heart can breath again, lol. So what type of workout are you doing?
  • At the moment in trying to stick to cardio.. I did 2 miles on the elliptical this morning n burned 400 calories so I'm super excited about that. I also do work on my stomach n arms but focused on cardio. What about urself? @siamay

    I do a workout DVD called barre3 and 10 minute pilaties solutions...I do the 30 day squat challenge and arm challenge....and sometimes I go for a walk. But not often (I hate bugs) lol
  • Awesome! How is that squat challenge? Is it difficult? I really need to work on my mid section but that is the hardest to lose after 3 kids lol

    Girl! Your thighs will be on fire!! But it's worth it. There is an ab's challenge too! Just google it. That'll kill you also! Try to add some leg lifts to workout those lower abs...everyone's problem area
