Hello!
On Tuesday I will make a chart of the results you all post this week, highlighting both the weekly winner (woo!) and the current cumulative winner (woo woo! weight loss is long term, y'all) I will post the charts in this forum.
Remember to post on Monday so that I have your data to compete for the coveted weekly winner award.

Self Car---- bought new shirts for back to work:), lunch out with a friend, long distance talk with friend, wedding dress shopping with my daughter and she said YES to the dress:), sat out in the sun, wrote a letter!, farmers market all by myself and got wonderful veggies!!!0 -

I had a busy week,:haircut and color, manicure, pedicure, massage, 81st birthday party for my mother, golf and lunch with a friend, live music concert (Buckinghams, Grass Roots and Peter Noone and Herman's Hermits), and ended the week with a 2.5 mile walk with my hubby. I almost forgot - reading to my grandson which was really for me because it's the first time he sat in my lap!0 -

Self reflection instead of self care highlights:
Interestingly, I am growing frustrated with my weekly weighing rather than my daily ones. I mentioned before that my body seems to like the 180s. And as evidenced by the time I have spent here in the 180s, and the amount of fluctuation in the 180's, I'm reminded how much this is absolutely true.
My body seems to like itself this way, but I just realized this week that my mind also seems to like it as well. I get attention, enough to feel noticed and pretty, but not so much attention but it's uncomfortable for me. I saw all of my fellow faculty from work this last few days...we see each other twice a year. It was nice to get some attention, but there was a bit of attention that I was uncomfortable with (e.g., a little sexualized, not inappropriate, but it was still there).
All this to say that I noticed that I ate and drank more than usual. Why? Who knows. It could be that I was uncomfortable with the attention (but as an only child, this is unlikely to be true), or that I was feeling confident in my weight loss and needed a cupcake and hot dog our two. And beer. God I love beer. Or that I temporarily forgot what I learned and focused on my company, eating and drinking like them instead of doing so like I want to. Or it could be that it is simply flipping difficult to travel, not be able to order my own food, and still loose weight.
Just to clarify, I'm not beating myself up. I ate half a dinner plate of salad whenever there was a buffet, filling the salad plate with fruit instead. I ate 1/2 of a cupcake when dessert was offered, and 1/3 of my buttery cheesy scolloped potatoes . I only had one beer when we went out. But my body does not loose weight from not eating a full cupcake or passing on the full portion of the potatoes. It only gauges what goes in, not what DOESN'T go in (we would all be thin and healthy if that were the case)! It's a balance. And while I know this is lifelong, I sure would like to get rid of this "upper gut" that makes my dresses look unbecoming. And for the rest of my life, however long it may be, there will always be holidays with annual treats, and if I am so fortunate, I will continue to travel and have limited choices in food. And know what? That is a pretty good trade off!0 -

Self Care included: Staying up really late to watch meteor shower with hubby (saw over 25 in 2hrs), lunch with friend, pool, reading (several days), watching Duck Dynasty Premier (I know really sad that this is self care), watched Colts pre-season game (definately self-care, I'm a huge fan).

This was a tough week. Lots of rained out running and a visit to Atlanta family foiled my best intentions. I am definitely beating myself up, particularly regarding the +3.2 pounds.
