Its less fun but they have indoor tracks at some gyms and PanAm pool has a good one.
You can also try swimming which is fun.0 -
Treadmill at home or at the gym..or an indoor track. That is what I do.
I've seen plenty of people running outside in the dead winter when it is like -35 but I'm not one of them :bigsmile:0 -
I have been wondering the same thing myself...I figure I'll be good to run outside until at least the end of November, barring any crazy snowstorms that the city will have to clean up.
I do have a treadmill, but there is no way that I will be able to do a good solid long run on there - it kills me to do 7K, never mind 18 or 20. So, I'm thinking that I may just bite the bullet, and keep on running outside with the right gear. If it is an insane windchill, then I'll do a shorter run inside on the treadmill.0 -
Yeah one of my co-workers is a hardcore outdoor winter runner so I miiigght try it. However, considering a walk to the bus stop in the winter is like death to me I doubt that will last. PanAm looks like a good option since it's nearby.0

im worried similarly. i dont run but i have been walking for exercise 4 km a day. i really cant see me doing this in the dead of winter. i did buy an elliptical and may use that more often then not in the winter.0
