Workout Chit-Chat or whatever....

Hopefully it's okay to post this? Was just thinking it would be cool to have a thread to post random chit-chat or posts about the workouts that don't necessarily fit into the threads. Sometimes I want to post about the work out but don't really have a place to post about it and don't want to start a new thread.

Worked out last night but my energy was completely zapped! Not sure what was up. Could be several factors at play...had a long tiring weekend, did not have much protein for the day (I need to make my no-bake energy bites again!), temperature is about 10 degrees warmer than it was last week...anyways..my effort in the work out was sub-par and I feel bad about it! Hopefully I will do better today, I need to push myself again!

I took some progress photos but don't want to post them. There really is not much of a different. My thighs and butt look a little smaller but the difference is so negligible I didn't see much point in it. Yesterday was my 9th workout in 14 days. I was not around for Fri-Sun so did not do the work out...And the week before that I didn't start until Tuesday so had two weeks with 4 work outs. I feel pretty behind but oh well, it is what it is!

  • notice to all - you can post what ever you like as long as its not racist, homophobic, etc because i will report it, delete you and the post.

    yes its fine honey.
dont worry, it takes time to get into the swing of things sometimes. just keep pushing and challenging yourself and you will find the inner you comes out in hardly any time (because it does take some time).
i would encourage you to post your photos because others can see the difference easier than we can see it ourselves. i couldnt see any difference in mine whatsoever but when others pointed little bits out here and there i felt much better and could even see some of it myself. if you can see any difference with having a break like that its a hell of an achievement still

POST EM POST EM POST EM POST EM..... come on guys ... POST EM POST EM.

It's fun to have people to just talk with, and this group feels like a little community, so I think it's great! People are all over the board...some newbies just starting the DVD, others are already in Level 3. I JUST started Level 2 yesterday. Take it at whatever pace you want

I also had a weird day this Saturday; woke up exhausted, went on a 2-mile walk and could barely keep up and had to stop several times, super tired afterwards had to go home and nap while everyone else got lunch. Have NEVER had an issue with 3 mile walks before, so this one was a shocker. I guess sometimes we have screwy days, but each day is a new chance. we can do it! :flowerforyou:

Ok. Today's work out was much better! Even better than last week in some spots! I still kind of hate her :) by the third circuit I am whipped and can hardly make it through any of the moves!

I feel on the plank an twist thing I am not twisting far enough? Anyone else feel that way? This is level 2 last ab circuit. She seems to really be able to twist and I just don't feel flexible enough! Or maybe I am too tired.

    I feel that way, too.

I'm frustrated with the fact that I could SEE progress in pics, but the last 2 weeks, between hubby's injury and work starting back up, I've gained and my belly is back. All that tightening and progress appears to have gone down the drain and it damn well pisses me off. :grumble: :grumble: :grumble:
  • i feel nothing from the ab twists, thinking maybe i dont have enough upper arm strength to lower me into the move as far as i should be.

you can upload them using tinypic,

pick picture from browse, keep on image, resize to either message board or website for a bit smaller. UPLOAD

when you get the codes you want the IMG code but when you paste the code ensure to change the toon both ends of the code.

Maybe your abs are already so awesome they didn't need the work? :drinker:

i am so sore this morning. :( like everywhere. especially my back. yesterday i did day 3 of level 2 and i cut the grass and did some yard work. cutting the grass was a huge accomplishment for me. we have a reel mower and its hard to push. it was REALLY hot and humid yesterday too. I was able to do the yard without stopping which i havent been able to do before. i guess im feeling it now though. it felt alright while i was doing it but ouch, i hurt.
think if i spend some time stretching i will still be ok to do the 30 DS today? i dont really want to take a break
  • I THINK we all deserve a full body massage.

I would say listen to your body. When I first started I was SUPER sore. I took a two day break from the workout and started again and was able to push myself much harder because my body repaired itself.

I take breaks all the time when I feel I need them. No shame in going slowly as you don't quit all together, I try not to let more then 3 days pass between workouts. Oh and a protein drink has really helped the soreness a lot. You may want to look into that. Good luck and carry on ;)

30DS is my new best friend......
Even though I have some funky bruises here and there and a swollen ankle which hurts like ****, I am in love. It is working...:Today I went to Copenhagen with my husband, we went to the Blue Planet, which is the national aquarium (new building, new tanks, new fish) and afterwards we went to Strøget which is a long street full of a lot of different stores.
I wanted to go look at some clothes, so placed my husband in a chair while I looked at clothes. Found a pair of purple slim jeans but they were only a size M (Before I started this new chapter in my life I wasn't even close to zipping into a size XL/size 14/32''), I looked at them for awhile and decided to go to the dressing room and try them on, just to see where I stood compared to a size M.
To my big surprise I was actually able to get them on and close them (however it didn't look good at all, not a perfect fit, I still have to lose some around the butt and thighs and a lot around the hips before they fit perfectly, but that's ok, then I have a pair of jeans which actually fits when that times comes ;-).
I decided to buy them, they normally cost 250 DKK but was down to 39DKK.
I just can't believe that so much has happened in only 4 weeks of dieting and 2 weeks of the 30DS.
  • congratulations perlouise thats a great nsv. how does that transfer money wise into £/$. just think though you can get them on but they dont look good, when you've toned some more they're going to drop off you completely. :flowerforyou:

I am SO GLAD these aren't in Level 2...hopefully not in 3, either. I still feel like I'm working that hard during the workouts, though!

I think I tweaked my back yesterday on the 2nd circuit of strength. I am not exactly sure how I did it but I could not finish the video because of it. It still hurts today. I guess I am not ready for a heavier weight yet!

Also I've decided to cut my calories down by 100. The scale has been up 1 lb since the beginning of the month. Going to see if I can find my magic number
