OK peeps we pay a fortune for blueberries, for the next few weeks don't as our native bilberries are in season. They are free n much tastier
Also blackberries are coming in too n I'm going to get the step ladder out tomorrow to collect damsons (all on local paths n open spaces), yes I'm a saddo but its worth it, plus the weather is looking good. Crab and domestic apples as well as wild cherry are ready too.
Sorry if this isn't up your street but its kept both me n my 12yr old occupied this afternoon (plus the awesome pudding I made was delish) n bumped up the exercise burn

I seen the word free and had to look!
I'll take some of the cherries please, and a slice of pudding. :flowerforyou:0 -
Ooh I'd love to find some berries somewhere, not many areas in Birmingham that I would be willing to eat fruit from though!0

I live in Surrey and we have a glut of blackberries, raspberries and apples all ready to go. I will cook them with sweetener and add a thin sponge topping made with low fat spread and sweetener. Yummy! Thanks for the reminder about all the fruit ready!0

no bilberries here sadly, but the only thing I grow in my garden is autumn raspberries, they started fruiting at the beginning of August, are just starting to take off and go through to the first frost. Yum!0
