Paleo, Primal, Atkins, South Beach....
or are folks just focusing on eating well, and creating a calorie deficit.
Thanks!

I tried just a calorie reduction, trying to focus on good foods, but had gotten no traction. Last week I started the 5:2 diet, and lost 3.6 since last week! Yeah! Hopefully this will be a trend. :happy:0

I follow Dr Joel Fuhrman's advice on his website, http://www.drfuhrman.com and in his book "Eat To Live"
He is a practicing physician in Flemington, NJ and his focus is on nutritional eating for life.

The 5:2 diet is also known as Intermittent Fasting. It has been taking off in the UK recently, and I believe there is a BBC documentary about it (look on youtube).
Very simple premise, 2 days a week, your choice, you eat 500 calories for the day. The rest of the week you eat normally, i have been right around 1700 calories most days. no special foods, no restricted categories.0 -
