I know many have cut cocktails out of their life due to the high calorie count, but here are a few recipes to go along with some Alice has posted that may let you put them back once in awhile :drinker:
Pina Colada Cooler
1 1/2 ounces coconut-flavored rum
3 ounces pineapple juice
4 ounces sparkling water
1 tablespoon of Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut Lite (found in the drink mixers section of many supermarkets)
Pour ingredients over ice and stir.
Calories: 165
Blueberry Lemon Breeze
10 blueberries
3/4 ounce light agave nectar, such as Wholesome Sweeteners, available at Whole Foods or other natural foods stores
1 1/2 ounces gin
3/4 ounce lemon juice
Splash of champagne (about 1 ounce)
In a shaker, muddle* together blueberries and agave. Add the gin and lemon juice, then shake vigorously for 20 seconds. Strain contents of shaker into a martini glass and then top with champagne. Garnish with 3 blueberries on a cocktail stick.
Calories: 205
Mojito Makeover
2 ounces light rum
1 ounce Splenda syrup, Da Vinci's Sugar Free Sweetener Syrup
1 ounce lime juice
7 mint leaves
Splash of club soda
In a shaker, muddle mint leaves and a lime wedge. Add ice and other ingredients and shake. Pour into tall glass and top with soda.

Blimey! I just put my favourite cocktail in the recipe thingie, and it's 220 calories!!!! Good job I don't have cocktails very often! Anyway here it is - people who are good at that sort of thing can probably tweak it to reduce the calories!
Woman Warrior:
Vodka 3oz
Curacao 1oz
Fresh Lime Juice 1oz
serve over ice0 -

The best thing I have found to help contribute to maintain drinking habit is the Walmart brand Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade. . . zero calorie, sugar, everything, just mix with vodka.
I love it!0 -
Just found a mango club soda and mixed in 1 ounce of melon liquor for only 72 calories.....:drinker:0

Do you have one of those soda stream machines? GET ONE! They have a diet grapefruit soda - zero calories. I mix with a shot of gin 72 calories over ice with a salted rim. Viola a 72 calorie salted dog!!!0

Bloody Mary's for me. Tomato juice is relatively low in cals and Vodka not too bad!0
-
Not as good as a cosmo but at only 100 cals for a "single" or 175 cals for a "double", it will do.
1 or 2 oz of vodka (I use Schmirnoff)
3 oz of diet Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice
1/2 cup of club soda
twist of lime0 -
Anyone know of a lower calorie white wine?0

my favorite is a gin salty dog
1/2 can of texsun unsweetened grapefruit juice and a shot of gin in a salt rimmed glass.

I love beer. It's my weakness. And my calorie demon.0

My two favorite cocktails (which I don't have that much as I can't usually afford the empty calories in alcohol) are my diet version of "7 and 7" -- Seagram's 7 whisky and diet 7-Up (with ice in the summer); and my diet version of a gin and tonic -- Blue Saphire gin with diet tonic water. Normally I will have 2-3 glasses of good wine a week, but sometimes a cocktail is just the thing! It's my splurge.0

I don't drink much at all anymore, other than red wine and the occasional light beer, but I recently ordered some Cedilla acai liqueur to play around with and some Creme de Violette, because I had a fantastic cocktail made with champagne and violet liqueur once and am dying to try it at home.
Not sure yet what to do with the Cedilla but I love acai so I might just try sipping it straight.0 -
ooo loving this one xxx0
