What about honey?

Options
I totally want to do this because I know when I have a low consumption of sugars (including lower consumption of sugary fruits) i feel much better and don't have as many cravings over time... but what about honey? I know most honey is crap and is usually over-processed and loses a lot of its natural health benefits because of processing. But what about locally grown or organic honey? Honey is great and full of antioxidants so should it be eliminated since it is basically sugar when it comes down to it?

    Hi,

I'm pretty sure that things like honey, Agave and maple syrup are fine as are fruits.

The goal is no refined sugar.

If I'm wrong, I hope someone will clarify.

Actually, honey and sugar are essentially the same, as is agave and maple syrup.

This short video explains the nutritional value of about nine sweeteners: http://nutritionfacts.org/video/the-healthiest-sweetener/

As the video explains, there are only two (tested) that are of any nutritional value - watch the video to find out which they are.

    kind regards,

    Ben
