Any thoughts on how you broke through the plateau?0 -
I tried a few different things, I think it was the combination that finally worked. I increased my water intake, trying for 3 liters a day. I increased then decreased then increased my calories. Currently I try for 1400 on days I don't work out and on the days I do work out, I increase my calories by 1/3 to 1/2 of what I burned. I increased my workouts, and started using a heart rate monitor instead of the tools on this site to estimate my burn. For me, the tools here estimate about twice as many calories burned as my HRM. I still don't have a constant loss, but over time it is fairly steady.
Probably the most important thing for me was to avoid the scale for a while. I was getting soooo frustrated with not losing, and was at a tough spot, that weight I have never been able to get past, then had a huge increase in stress for a variety of reasons. I needed to stop weighing daily, as not seeing movement on the scale made me want to cheat, why stay on the wagon if its not helping, right? Without the scale, I was much better about staying on track0 -
CW 196.4 lb this week. 19.2 lbs so far for this challenge. MFP has just dropped my calorie intake again not sure I can manage it.0
