I haven't seen a thread about this for a while; did a meetup ever happen? Is it something people are still interested in? =)

    I'd be interested, but I think it would take a lot of work, including direct messages to posters in here to let people know about it.

    I would be interested. I have already ran into a few people from this group at various running events or gyms but would always enjoy meeting more!

    I personally live near Roseville, but I travel around the cities and surrounding areas a lot.

    Suggestions for places to meet? =) I'm actually rather shy, but I'd love to get to know some local peeps!

    Apparently I'm the oddball here and live in Rah Rah Rochester! :-) I get up to the metro regularly though.

    I'm up in Cloquet (which is 20 miles south of Duluth on I-35) but periodically get down to the metro area.

    Why not meet up at a major local food/fitness event such as the State Fair or the TC Marathon?

    Another option would be a hike somewhere. I live downtown Minneapolis, so there's obviously not a lot of places to hike nearby.

    Who: You & anybody fitness oriented in your life. Spread the word to your MFP locals.
    What: 2 hour self-paced hike, and I will be having lunch afterward with anybody interested.
    Where: Lebanon Hills 1336 Carriage Hills Dr Eagan, MN 55123
    When: 9:45 AM September 14
    Why: Fitness, fun and friendship.

    Sounds cool! I think I can make it...might even be able to drag my bf with me, though I'm not sure he'll be up for a 2 hour hike since he's just getting started working out.
