Dress warm - invest in good winter clothes and things are much more enjoyable. Get out of the house as much as you can as early into winter as you can (don't stop from summer or fall) - your body will climatize to it easier.
Skating, skiing (down and x country), tobogganing. I like going for walks in the park - you get the whole place to yourself and its so quiet and peacful, just the snow crunching.
Lots of indoor stuff too.0 -
Invest in some ice grips that slide over your shoes so when you go for walks you don't slip and fall. I find the winter time to be the best time to get on a routine. I enjoy going to the gym more cause they are brightly lit and working out warms me up. Precook meals like soup and chili and portion them out so you can enjoy them throughout the winter.0

Don't remind me!!! I usually just hang out with friends and have parties/games nights. I have Grand Theft Auto 5 pre-ordered and just bought Saints Row 4 lol so lots of gaming. I'm going to try and be more active this winter and actually go outside!0

I went out the other night .. and it was a shock. I somehow didn't realize it was so cold. I learned pretty quick that yes winter is coming sometime soon.
Hope everyone finds someway to deal with our winters. Being born and raised in Edmonton, I should be used to it. But every year .. I still hate it.0 -
Just brought out my fleece blankets, it's happening
My friend is forcing me to try snowshoeing this winter, my only requirement is that I am allowed to bring booze to mae it better0 -

That sounds super fun! I went in school when I was a kid, and I remember it being very awkward and I fell a lot, lol! I hope you have better luck!
I want to give cross-country skiing a try this year.0 -
I went cross country skiing once when I was in high school on an exchange trip, my 300 pound teacher fell on me and hurt my back lmao.0
