Fear knocked at the door, faith answered and no one was there! ~~Anonymous
Have you ever felt like there was absolutely no one you can turn to? No one who understands what you are going through? Jesus does. Something to ponder is that He, Jesus, was tempted in all the things we are tempted in and yet He set the perfect example. We will never be like Jesus as long as we are on this earth but we can certainly work to be OUR best.
When He ascended into Heaven He promised us a comforter, the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit (whichever term you prefer) and these scriptures say it pretty well. The catch is ~ we have to accept His comfort! I can personally attest to the fact that that is NOT easy but it is doable. With HIS help!
John 14:26-27 (KJV)
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
2 Corinthians 13:14 (KJV)
14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
Hebrews 4:15 ERV (Easy-to-Read Version)
"For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin."
Romans 8:6 (KJV)
6 For to be carnally minded* is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
(* carnally minded means the mind governed by the flesh)
When you keep the Lord in the center of your life, He will guide you and help you find peace. All peace, joy and love comes from the Father. Have a blessed weekend!
