This challenge ends Wednesday November 28th (the week before American Thanksgiving...that's an accident) but YOU CAN JOIN AT ANY TIME! (Act now, but this offer WILL last, and thanks to MFP, it is only 10 easy payments of FREE!).

This challenge is fantastic, mainly because of the people who participate (we are a supportive bunch), but also it keeps getting tweaked by participants' suggestions to make it better.

    My additional thoughts (as always!):
    I have to share my nervous energy with the group: I am "running" a half-marathon on Saturday in the hilly streets of Asheville, NC. Race starts at 6:30 a.m. Wish me luck! I also strong-armed my unfit friends to do the 5K race the night before. They are going to walk it. The husband of the pair has expressed interest in running. I hope the experience of being around runners, going to the race expo, etc. sparks him into action! I will be so proud of them for doing this!

    Oh, and, I had mentioned in a post or two that there had been some crime along the trail I run and ride on. (The proverbial straw that broke the camel's back was when a woman was attacked at 11:30 a.m. It could have been me.) At first I was really upset that my solo running & riding days were over. Then, I realized that this has opened up a great opportunity for doing exercise with others! It's been a blessing in disguise. (The name of the trail is The Swamp Rabbit Trail. It's a rails to trails kind of project that has been very instrumental in revitalizing some areas. It's cool to see people from different communities come together in the name of fitness.)

    I decided that The Luv cannot win because she is not on MFP and is logging in through telling me her scores rather than entering them in this forum. But I also decided that she should get an honorable mention when she is the highest earner of points since she created the dagum excel file and all of the complicated formulas that are in it that make it possible for me to report these charts without having to do basic math (which I would most certainly mess up).
