New boy!

Hi, I'm new(ish) here, been here nearly 2 weeks now. Lost 20kg over the last year, but really I'm really struggling to get shot of the last few Kilos . I seem to have come to stand still, weight loss wise, over the last few weeks and want the kilos off asap!

My wife (Bella-Figura) said I should try coming on here to MFP and giving it go as the members on here are a good bunch of peeps and really help motivate. So here I am .... to diet, hopefully lose more weight, help motivate and to be motivated! Any friend adds welcomed!

Byeee for now

    sent you a request.

Also, I got stuck beginning July - lost about 2 stone, then just sat there between early July and a couple of weeks ago. The MFP thingy seems to calculate your calories at rock bottom, so I went online and found lots of other TDEE calculators, got lots of numbers, took an average and knocked off 20% so now I'm eating 1500 calories instead of 1200 calories - lost another half stone this month  Don't know if that's any help to you? Also I read something somewhere that suggested you multiply your weight in pounds by 11 to get your deficit - which was about the same.

It's the kind of thing that tends to provoke - lets say, *vigourous debate* - but certainly the pattern seems to be that people get moving again if they take a break, or up their cals or change their exercise. Good luck!

Hi Camerabag, yes I just discovered that eating more helps kick start the weight loss again. One diet site i was using told me I should be on around 1600cals, but now at the moment, and just starting to drop again, I am on 2000cal!! ..... I was pleased for the extra allowance. Onward and downward!!

Now why is it that when I see the phrase 'new boy' I immediately think of two things:

    1. Bizarre private school initiation rituals involving greased up cormorants.
    or
    2. A hallway full of tattooed axe-murderers lounging against their cell bars whistling and planning shower time

That could just be me though...

    Welcome new boy! =)
