GoT for Halloween?

Anyone dressing as a character for Halloween?
I'm attempting Daenerys, in one of the Qarth dresses from season 2. I started by making a dress then sewing on gold braid trim for the armor, then I joined a costume group on FB and saw some amazing stuff and thought, "Mine sucks." So I ripped all the trim off the dress and I'm starting over making the armor with hot glue like in this blog post: http://detscosplay.blogspot.com/2013/02/qartheen-armor.html
(armor not finished and obviously still needs to be painted gold)
But the crazy doesn't end there...
I made my Pekingese Beavis a little Tyrion costume. And since he's a dog and can't be HAND of the King, I made him a PAW of the King pin with Sculptey.
Next on the agenda is making a dragon, and my husband some Jorah armor. Possibly out of paper mache, with faux chain mail by painting a sweater silver, like here: http://www.instructables.com/id/The-Lazy-Mans-Chainmail-Shirt/
But this time, Jorah won't be friendzoned. :drinker:

Wow, so cool! Love the Paw of the King pin ^5. You're obviously very talented. I'm lucky if I buy some kind of costume on October 29th.0

Thanks! I'm really happy with how the hot glue armor is working out. I have it all assembled, and I'll paint it tomorrow.
My dress form is a little wider through the under-the-boob region than I am... the dress fits me a little better, and the back strap will fit me once I add bra hook type hooks. It's taped in place on the dummy.0 -
Yeah, I like how it's coming out!0

So happy with how this turned out!!!!!
I'm on a mission to spend as little as possible on my costume, so I spray painted / primed the glue with copper paint I had, then used as stencil sponge to stipple gold acrylic paint over it.
It cost $1.75 in glue to make it, using 10 jumbo glue sticks purchased with a 50% off coupon from AC Moore. I had the paint, needle & thread (to sew the pieces together), hook and eyes to fasten it in the back, and an old bikini pattern that I used for the cups, and made the rest by lying paper over my dress form to make the collar and straps.
The dress was made from fabric my mom bought ages ago, and I'm wearing it over a thrift shop long brown leather skirt that's been in my "for future costume use" storage bin for years.0 -
Oh wow, you are super talented!! I'm impressed!0

Thanks! I'm starting Ser Jorah's armor now. I've painted a sweater to immitate chain mail, and I'm making the armor out of cardboard. Still need to paint it some more, and I need to make the shoulder pieces, then attached it all together, but I think it'll turn out well.
It's not delivery, it's Ser Jorah!0 -

I loooove how these are turning out, you are so creative!0 -
Beautiful! I wish I had the time and creativity to do something like that.
We were supposed to go to a party, but now the man's daughter will be here so we have to cancel. :-( So I probably won't dress up at all this year.0 -
All too fabulous! What a great idea to use hot glue. I'm glad you went for the glory. You and your dog win hard for the paw of the king Go forth and Khaleesi the hell out of it. Can't wait to see the final pics.0

Do we get pictures?? I wanna see the final product! (Please, of course!)0

Beautiful job! I don't know what I find more upsetting, the fact that you didn't win any prizes or that nobody recognized you, since the show isn't exactly low-profile!
Filled with admiration for your work.0
