Self help comes from helping others...
So I am not as good with the words as Mark, but I like having something to work on....
I am a big believer in that little phrase up there. Self help comes from helping others ... Today we should use that to help ourselves,
This is a vague challenge and each of you are going to take something different from it.... But take some time to use your knowledge, mistakes, successes or just plain old energy to help someone else have a healthier day. I am not sure how I plan to do this but I will find away!
Have a great day my friends and i hope you all come to share your success tonight

This is a nice way to think of it. I'm slowly becoming more knowledgable about food choices. Everything I learn has a direct postiive affect of my kids. I eat healthier and and so do they. I insist we walk or bike to school (instead of driving) and its about 1 km away, they increase stamina and endurance. They are already showing better energy. When I talk about this stuff... my husband is actually listening and he's making smarter choices too. All because he wants to get healthier on his own. I feel its very important that he makes his own choices, because no one maintains a lifestyle change unless they WANT to. I like that he's using what I'm learning.
It's a neat challenge, Holly.0 -
I was the herb lady for some coworkers today and gave them some yummy tea to help their cold and sore stomach symptoms, respectively. Ginger tea ftw for the stomach owie, and Traditional Medicinals Cold Formula for the cold (it tastes like drinking a Ricola!). I like this challenge, but had done this before I even read the challenge just now lol.0

I do small sets of chin-ups and push-ups throughout the day, including in my office. My office-mate is cool with it, and is used to seeing me randomly get up from my desk to drop and do a set of 10 or so. However, today I convinced him to do some sets with me! Help keep the blood flowing and all. Was good stuff!0

Ya for sharing
Yesterday I talked to my friend about eating out and what we could do to make it healthier as we often go out 2 or 3 times a month for dinner!
It felt nice to share my goals with a real person0 -
Mine actually started yesterday, but I logged my husband's food and exercise for him.
He just started on MFP, and not used to the logging thing. He is a post man and walks about 6 hours a day.
So after dinner, I had already logged my stuff, and he did his usual "I want to do it but maybe not today"
So, as he was finishing eating, I got the lap top and asked him what he ate and we calculated exactly how many hours to the minute he walked for work.
I am not sure what he did after I went to bed but at least, I showed him a way...0
