Fitbit cal burn

Quick question - I use a HRM (Polar Ft4) to measure my cal burn in the Gym. this gets recorded in my exercise log and shows up on my news feed.
I use a Fitbit to calculate cals burned when I walk the dog or go hiking. This does not show up on my newsfeed but is in my exercise log.
For the purpose of this challenge, Are you only counting cals burned if they display on the newsfeed? If so, I will start to wear my HRM for all intentional exercise.
