My favorite quote will probably change as I read more of the book and as I change. In the meantime we might be able to encourage one another by sharing how Lysa's wisdom touches us.
One of my favorites is "Each pound lost is not a quest to get skinny but evidence of obedience to God." I know that my body is the temple of God but I made excuses for myself when I kept carrying around too much body; I cried out that I couldn't do it - just like the song by Plumb, "Need You Now" where it says:
How many times have you heard me cry out "God please take this"?
How may times have you given me strength to
Just keep breathing?
Oh I need you
God, I need you now.
