LA Fitness - worth the cost?

Hi Gang - I was thinking of joining LA Fitness near my house (290 and Hollister) but it looks like their membership is expensive. Anyone a current member (any location) who is willing to let me know if it is worth the cost?

if i were you i would join a 24 hour they have so many locations you can hop around if you get bored

This may be a little late since I have been MIA for a few months, but I just left my small private gym and joined LA Fitness. The monthly cost is dependent upon how much you put down for your first/last month. I am paying $30.00 a month and that gives me access to every LA Fitness in the Houston area. They just built a brand new facility a couple of miles from my house and it offers so much more then my small gym. While I am bummed that I left my small gym, I have a lot more flexibility with LA Fitness, so it's a matter of what fits better.
