25 mins on the stairclimber ( I don't go too hard on it yet )
Breakfast: Grapefruit, 2 packs plain instant oatmeal with sliced apple on it
Lunch: Giant salad, with mixed nuts and black beans on it
Dinner TBD... probably whatever my wife makes. ( will edit later )
And most likely a 30 min ( ish ) swim after work. ( I rest alot when swimming, so can't claim the whole 40 mins )0 -
Day 1 went pretty well! I am feeling pretty focused.
Today I will
- Eat within my calories
- 30 minutes of exercise
- Drink more water then yesterday.
I am really hoping to be in the 140s by next Sunday. I haven't been in the 140s since the 9th grade (which was 14 years ago).0 -
So I missed Day 1. Was an emotional postpartum day and it just didn't go well.
Day 2 :
Stayed under calorie limit (I really need to clean up my diet) ideas anyone?
Made it to the gym - 45 minutes on the bike
Hoping for a better day 3!!
Good Luck to everyone!0 -

Don't know what you're eating, so don't know exactly what 'clean up' means, or what it means to you. Cleaning up a diet to me, means eating more plant based foods, and less processed foods, and less meat. To 80% of MFP members, that's laughable... they'll tell you most importantly, staying under your calorie goals, and hitting your macros are all that really count.
So, it's kind of a personal thing.... I think it really comes down to what you believe. If you think that eating lots of red meat, sugar, and processed foods is AOK.... then, just restricting you calories, will certainly result in losing weight. If you think there's more to it than that, and that cutting down on some of the aforementioned foods might result in better health.... there's lots of options.0 -
That's exactly what I mean! More plants and less processed crap! I really don't eat a lot of meat, so that's not the problem. It's all the over processed sugary crap. I'm nursing my little one, so at night when I'm trying to stay awake, it seems to be what I'm grabbing. (cookies, snack cakes and the like)
Just seems like if I want the weight loss to stick, I need to change habits not just eat less!
Thanks for the input!0
