Tempo?
While Carson's answer is correct, to give you some sense of what LT and AT are, Tempo runs are runs that are faster than your easy pace, but typically not as fast as race pace for shorter distance runs like a 5K. Suppose you do your easy runs at around a 9:30 pace and can run a 5K in 25 minutes, an 8:03 pace. Your tempo pace would probably be around 8:30 per mile.
You can visit mcmillanrunning.com and enter your 5K or 10K time and it will calculate your training paces (you have to click on "training paces" to see them).0 -

Tempo pace can also be loosely defined as a pace that you could maintain for an hour. So, for faster runners it may be close to HM pace. For slower runners, closer to 10K pace.0 -
