I try to run to 5ks a week on top 3-4 days of CrossFit.
This week I've been having a hard time getting out of bed, so it looks like 2 days of Crossfit and 2 days of running.0 -
Running, bicycling, tennis. Mostly tennis.0
-
Riding my bicycles!0
-
Heavy lifting. Sometimes rowing. Looking into taking up boxing.0
-
I play basketball, heavy lifting on Saturdays, battle rope training on my "rest days"...usually Wednesday, and I play a lot of Frisbee with my sons.0
-
swimming, running (though I'm not that good at it, so mostly short distance), lifting.0
-
Run (just for races), parkour, and climbing0
-
Run 1-2 times a week, sometimes add some elliptical after the WOD sometimes if I feel it wasn't intense enough.0
-
I'm a (currently sidelined with a stress fracture from overtraining) runner. I've been focusing on longer distances this year (10 milers and half marathons) but I have plans to scale back considerably once I've recovered from my injury. Hope to get in a few miles 2-3 times each week once I'm cleared to run again.0

Running and walking. I think Crossfit has helped the running - it would kill me if I wasn't already dead from CF!0
-
Running. I always keep a half-marathon on the horizon to keep me motivated lol.
I also ride/train horses.
CF has been HUGELY beneficial to both my riding and running endeavors!0 -
I feel like my biggest gains from CF have been in my trunk and core, and that this has translated into increasing my 1RM across the board, often by significant amounts.0

I just signed up for the nike women's half marathon in DC. I don't find out until Dec 6th if we got in (it's a lottery), but I've started a 24 week training plan this week just in case. So, I run 3 days a week, crossfit three days a week, and one day a week I do cycling. I'm also doing the MS150 bike ride from houston to austin in april, so I have to train some for that.0 -
Running and oly lifting class. I was a marathoner before crossfit so I love running and oly class because it's even great at helping me improve my technique in the c+j and snatch. I try and do 5 crossfit classes, 2 oly classes and 2-3 runs per week schedule permitting0

Thanks for all of your responses!! I'm trying my best to get a flow going with my working out. I started crossfit about 6weeks ago. I think I'm gonna run the days I don't crossfit!! Thanks again everyone!! :-)0

Just don't push too hard. You are going to need your rest after doing CF so your body can heal. We say in our box, you don't get stronger doing Crossfit, you get stronger resting after doing Crossfit.0

I would also recommend doing yoga on your off days. It really helps!0

Running, swimming and biking. I have a half marathon next week and signed up for a half Ironman next summer.0

Parenting.
I CF 4-5 times a week and don't do anything else. CF is still the only exercise I've found that I don't loathe with every fiber of my being.0 -
Nothing else for the past 5 months. I do crossfit 5 x week.0

Thanks again y'all!! I definitely rest between days lol! I stretch mainly so I won't be too sore...hopefully lol!!
I really like CF and I'm gonna stick with it!0 -
Pole dance 3x per week, more lifting, cardio usually 2x other times, yoga 1-2x per week, swimming for an hour once or twice week, and hiking in the warm months. I do at least one other workout the 3-4 days per week I do CrossFit. Saturdays and Sundays I do one-a-days (no CrossFit) but the rest of the week I do two workouts with some combo of CrossFit/yoga/cardio/pole. Mondays I do three workouts: CrossFit/yoga/pole or CrossFit/yoga/swim.
CrossFit is really helping my pole dancing and yoga is really helping everything.0 -

How do you have time for all of that??0 -
Time? I have no children and I don't like to do anything outside in the winter. I work nights so my days are free.
I don't socialize a lot because I have to socialize non-stop at work (I am a bartender) and I have a huge amount of aggression (because I deal with drunks all the time) that needs to be expelled in a positive manner. Also, no TV.0 -

I ran that one last year! It is so much fun-- a beautiful course anda wonderful experience runnning with (mostly) other women. I'm debating entering the random draw again this year, even though it's a haul for me to get there.
That said, I use CrossFit to enhance my running. Through the spring and summer, I typically run about 5 days a week, between 20-35 mpw. Before CF, I would do bootcamp style workouts, anything with HIIT. I try to do yoga at least once a week, as well. At the moment, I'm nursing an IT band/hip issue, so I've cut way down on my running to spend time foam rolling instead, sadly.0 -

I'm a beginner runner, and at this point, I'm still doing run/walk intervals and about 3 miles per run, so I have my work cut out for me... But I'm excited about the thought of my first 'real' half marathon and I hope we get picked. I've walked a half marathon last year, and I'm walking one on sunday, but I don't really count them since I'm walking for about 10 of the miles, LOL.0 -
Crossfit covers so many basis, weightlifting, sprinting etc. I like to do some boxing, actually i love it0
-
Swimming, Cycling and Running for Triathlons are my "others".
*CrossFit has enhanced my endurance, strength and stamina in all these and other activities.0
