My first Spartan!! 3+ miles turned into 4.5 or more. Any idea how long the Burnet TX course was?

    Woah that's crazy! Congratulations :drinker:

    I just did the Vancouver Spartan Sprint on Saturday, June 1st... finished in 1:02:23 and was 618 out of 2332 finishers. Amazing race... the first mile was up a ski run in the snow lol... so crazy. Can't wait to see pics!!

    I was just about to go looking for more...

    That sounds about right, they say the Spartan races are about 5k, 10k, and 15k. In my experience they are more like 5 miles, 10 miles, and 15 miles. I did the Carolinas Beast in 6:23 and the Carolinas Sprint in 1:19. I'm hoping to get under 2:30 in the Mi-Atlantic Super in August.

    Wow this thread is old! I did the Tough Mudder in Whistler in June, Spartan Super in Red Deer Alberta in September and then the Spartan Beast at Sun Peaks Resort (BC) at the end of September. It was freezing and snowing and they had to cut off a section of the race - it ended up being about 18km with 4600' vertical and I finished in 3hrs 35 mins :happy:
