the first week should be simple. Get moving at least 3 days this week for 30 minutes. For those further along in the process either add another day or an extra 10 minutes to your current workout

This is great! I just started the Leslie Sansone Walk Off The Pounds 2 mile 30 minute walk this week (Tuesday) and I have done it everyday since. So 3 days so far! My weekly plan is to do it at least 4 times a week.

Great plan for the 1st week!

I have been quite sedentary for a while now. I think I'll get outside and walk before the snow flies -or- if the snow is flying I'll do an exercise tape (Yep - I'm an indoor girl come winter!).

Sounds great! I have been exercising 2 hours to 3 hours for a long time now! (i am a true athlete) What are some of your favorite exercises or routines you do?
  • My goal is to workout enough to burn 300 calories using my HRM at least 5 times per week. Usually I do this walking fast on my treadmill for 30 minutes at a 8-10% incline. I don't have much free time, so I do what I can ;)

I am planning to do the Just Walk 30 day walk calendar this month (with possibly some adjustments around Christmas). I also plan to get to water aerobics a few times a week this month.

My first goal was to do a jillian michaels workout every day, so that's this weeks challenge.

Xbox dying killed my DVD capabilities so we're getting that fixed. Will be working out via cd drive on the computer even if it's less than ideal in the meanwhile, Love the tapout series though! So going to do my best to get in my workout every day like I am supposed to. Keep me accountable! Day 10 is rapidly approaching for me

Me too:happy: I usually like the elliptical or treadmill. I also love zumba (but lately it's been hurting my feet:sad: ) but I try to go 3x a week.

I got through my first exercise video in the series. I need to do more walking to get all my steps in (still shooting for 10,000 steps) but hopefully I will get some from putting up the tree and doing some grocery shopping!

Goal this week is cardio (elliptical or stationary bike) and lifting at least 4 times per week.
  • I started a weightlifting programme this week.

At least 2 times this week Deadlifts, Squats and Bench presses. At least 4 workouts this week (other days are at least 30 minutes of cardio)

this will probably be my programme for the whole challenge (to do this every week)

    Days exercised: 2

I got up early this morning to get my strength training video in. Last time I tried it (last week) I could sit down without hurting for days. So I used these pathetic 1 lbs weights for almost all the weight moves. Hopefully this time I didn't overdo it.

I workout every day, and have been doing so for a while. I mean there are occasional exceptions, but as a rule I put in at least 90 minutes of exercise each day. I use a bodymedia armband, and it only counts cardio (boty moderate and vigorous cardio), if my body doesn't heat up and move around enough, the exercise doesn't count, so I actually exercise more than what it shows if you count my strength training.

So far for this week the armband shows:

    December 1
    Moderate Exercise = 2 hours 9 minutes
    Vigorous Exercise = 31 minutes
    Total Exercise = 2 hours 40 minutes

    December 2
    Moderate Exercise = 1 hour 53 minutes
    Vigorous Exercise = 42 minutes
    Total Exercise = 2 hours 35 minutes

    December 3
    Moderate Exercise = 1 hour 35 minutes
    Vigorous Exercise = 40 minutes
    Total Exercise = 2 hours 15

There was also some strength training that doesn't register as activity :grumble: , but it still raises my total calorie burn for the day.
