What shoes do you use on the carpet??? I did barefoot for a few days, and the balls of my feet feel brused. I need a good recommendation.

Oh man, there are going to be SO many recommendations. I also tried going barefoot (ouch) and I've tried a few different shoes, but the ones that I really like are the ones made for basketball. I like it for Insanity, T25, and Body Revolution (that's not Beachbody, but it does do HIIT training in the cardios) since you're jumping around all the time. Although I just had them lying around and now they're a bit haggard. I know a lot people like cross training shoes (I think I'm going to go for those next!) and Vibrams. My husband likes his Vibrams because he likes the movement. I have issues with my feet (one is flat and the other had surgery not too long ago) so I prefer the support of a stiffer shoe that still allows me to move. But hubby has VERY flat feet and with his Vibrams he says he has better balance, no shin spints (I don't either, but I didn't get them as badly in the first place), and he can move his feet more. But with either cross trainers or Vibrams, people use them for TF, Insanity, T25, weight training, ect. So they can be used on other programs than just TF. I think you can only order Vibrams online (at least here that's the only option), so it might be easier to go for cross trainers, but it all depends on what you like in a shoe. Oh, and one more thing! Since I don't get the freedom of movement with going barefoot or being in Vibrams, I do use toe alignment socks to stretch my toes out after a workout (and a shower) that might have left them a little stiff. Also really great if you're on your feet all day.

I've gotten a reco for Vivobarefoot evo light from a trainer who does Insanity. I think any cross training shoe is supposed to be good for plyo work and the back and forth movements of Turbofire. Running shoes are apparently not the greatest because of the rise in the heel. I know Shaun T (insanity and T25 guy) like the Reebok crossfit nano

I love my Vibram Bikila LS shoes, but for my starting of TF on Monday, I'll be using regular cushioned new balance shoes. I've come back from two stress reactions (shy of fractures) in each foot and hate for the jumping to cause more pain.... I say start with what you have on hand and if you don't like them, then see whether you want more cushion or less.
