My goal for 2014 is to run at least 1 race every month. Here's what I've got planned so far -
(R=actually registered for, P=planning, but haven't registered yet)
January - Walt Disney World Marathon 1/12/14 (R)
February - Black Canyon Rim Romp (P - this is actually a snowshoe race!)
March - Gemini Adventures 24 Hours of Moab 50K - 3/22/14 (R)
April - Heart of Steel Human Spirit Ultra, 12 Hour Run - 4/5/14 (R)
May - Collegiate Peaks 25 Mile Trail Run (P)
June - Leadville Trail Marathon (maybe half) (P)
July - TBD
August - Pikes Peak Ascent (P)
September - Bear Chase Trail Races (P)
October - TBD (maybe Denver Rock n' Roll?)
November - TBD (maybe Moab Trail Marathon or Rim Rock Marathon)
December - TBD0 -
I'm feeling really disorganized after reading some of your plans!! Coming up I've got...
Woodside 35k (this is a trail run, it's actually at the very end of December)
The San Jose 408k - March (this is an 8k race, SJ's main area code is 408)
Santa Cruz Half Marathon - April
Big Sur Marathon - April
SF Marathon (this is a maybe) - July
Skyline to Sea 50k (trail race) - October (?... date TBD)
I will probably throw in several trail races if I can and potentially the Capitola Half Marathon in May depending on how I feel after Big Sur.
I saw 408k before I read the contents of the parentheses and went HOLY CRAP!!!!
:laugh:0 -
So far I'm just signed up for the Yuengling Shamrock Half Marathon in VA Beach in March. After reading these I feel like I need to go fill in my schedule, haha.0
-
Shamrock Marathon - Virginia Beach
Knoxville TN Marathon
Carmel Marathon - Indiana
Glass City Marathon - Ohio
Capital City Half Marathon - Ohio
Those are definates. More to come.0 -
My race schedule for 2014:
February 2014-Krispy Kreme Challenge (with my boys woohoo)
March 2014-RnR Washington DC Half**
April 2014- Inaugural RnR Half Marathon in Raleigh
May 2014-Marine Corps Historic Half (maybe, depending on how I feel after the prior 2 halfs)
or the USO Run for the Troops 5k (I can run it with my boys, my oldest is getting pretty fast!)
October 2014-MARINE CORPS MARATHON!!!!
I am really not messing around with anything between May and October, though I might try for a 10k if I can find it. I also entered the lottery to try to run the Cherry Blossom 10 miler in DC in APril but that is still in the air and up to the whims of fate.0 -
Right now just the Rugged Maniac in July in Englishtown, NJ0
-
December is lottery month for a lot of trail ultras so 2014 won't solidify for me for another couple of weeks. Most of the races I will put money down on will be in the 50k and longer distances. One thing I do know for sure, I'll do my first 100 miler in 2014.0

Wow, I love reading about everyone's race plans for next year!! For myself, I'm hoping to do (but haven't registered for any yet):
Run for Rural Medicine 10K (this is just a "fun run" put on by my medical school), Victoria BC - April 7 2014
TC 10K, Victoria BC - April 27 2014
BMO Vancouver Half Marathon, Vancouver BC - May 4 2014
Lululemon SeaWheeze Half Marathon, Vancouver BC - August 23 2014
And maaaaybe (depending on how the year's training goes and if I can bulid up my running base to be able to train for a full):
Goodlife Fitness Victoria Marathon (otherwise Half Marathon), Victoria BC - October 12, 20140 -
The San Jose 408k - March (this is an 8k race, SJ's main area code is 408)

Yeah, I always have to add additional information for that race - while I do have my sights set on longer distances, a 408k race is most definitely not in the cards!0 -
So far I'm registered for 2 races:
- March 30: Hamilton, Ontario - Around the Bay 30k
- May 25: Ottawa, Ontario - Race weekend Half Marathon
I'm planning on doing:
- A 5K in the spring for a PR
- A silly color run with one of my friend (DTBD)
- Ottawa, Ontario - Army Run 5k or half (depends on the next race...) in september
- Toronto, Ontario - Waterfront MARATHON (depends how I handle the 30k + the training) in october
If I'm not doing the Marathon in october I'll be doing it May 2015.
Annnnnnnd my running calendar is planned until october 2014 already (yep I'm anal like that!!)0 -

would like to do the Berlin marathon (September I think) if I survive/enjoy the distance in May, can't think much beyond Edinburgh at the moment
I hope you like the distance! But just FYI, the Berlin Marathon is already long sold out for next year
I was trying to sign up yesterday, and I'll have to wait until 2015 I guess.0 -
