How do you long distance runners keep track of your running progresses, distances, times and such. I have been doing some reading and they recommend keeping a journal for your running. I have been thinking about doing this but have not keeping track yet.
I am looking for online links to journal methods or even a journal that I can write down my info. What do you guys use?
Also what is important info for you to track?

Ditto to RunningAhead! Love it! The most robust training journal out there.

I have been on Runkeeper the last 3 years and it's great, but not as good as RA. One day I'm gonna transfer all my old history over to RA.

I use Sport Tracks with various plug ins (training load, weather, record book, etc.) All my runs and workouts are also on Garmin Connect.

I just log everything on to a spread sheet, date, time distance, speed, where run, type of run, Equivalent time for 10K, Half Marathon and now Marathon. I also use my HRM GPS watch site (Polar) to record and analyse all my runs.

I have been using RunKeeper for the last couple of years and am happy with it. So I was going to recommend that until I saw ^^ this. Now I might switch to Running Ahead too!

I use both Running Ahead and Garmin Connect. I track only runs in Running Ahead and track all my workouts in Garmin Connect. I really like the features and reporting in Running Ahead.

    Running Ahead convert

I track my runs currently on my phone in Endomondo and then export the individual file to Running Ahead. Getting it all in line before the end of the calendar year.

One day I will step up to a Garmin device.

    Thanks.

I use garmin as well, altho it doesn't have every run. I don't use a gps on ultras or trail runs usually.
I do track all runs on cardio trainer and fitocracy, and I list out all of my races and times on a page on my blog
